hey all

i've got a '90 teg with the bluey/grey duco, my problem is, is that it has a few scratches and chips out of the paint, and i need a respray, but i was thinking of respraying it more of a silver color rather than the bluey/grey color (Melbourne Blue i think its called...)

but im not sure whether it would look crap cause the interior matches the paint really well now, but will it look weird if the paint is silver, not bluey/grey?

thanks  xox

I'm sure the interior will look ok, maybe a swap to a black interior can be done at a later date

If I were to respray, I'd go a slightly darker red.

If you're going a silver colour, go for BMW Silver Grey....it's slightly darker than silver, but not as dark as full-on grey.

In sunlight it lights up all silverish and in the dark it looks a lot darker and super-classy. A mad colour IMO.

I had it on my BM and it rocks!

Don't worry about the interior too much, it should be OK. Tint the windows and it won't be as obvious.

Airbrushing looks shyt, she wants to improve the look of the car, not destroy it - Airbrushing and decals are tacky and distatsteful

distasteful - as opposed to "distatsteful" - I am a spastic at touch typing

Show me a pic of what the car looks like now and i'll give you my honest opinion. If it is the blue i think it is, change the colour!

hey there... my 89 LS is the melbourne blue colour... just looks silver to me :) only in certain light it looks slightly blueish... its had a respray so maybe when the paint is newer, it looks more silver than blue? just a thought

got any pics of your car?
