Do you mean the Pioneer AVH-P6850DVD?

They retail for around $2,000 or so. They are available at large car audio chains suchas JB Hifi. Is this the one you are referring to?

Yeah it'll play the GigaMP3's.

It has a 6 disc stacker inbuilt as well. So for DVD's/VCD's/MP3/CD.

yea, the 6850...
what? 2k? a place offered me 1550aud incl fitting..i guess that's a good deal...i saw it the other day, and yea, looks much better than the alpine, although the alpine does offer digital TV reciever as well, but single disc....

So, which one is better? pioneer or alpine? Look wise, Pioneer...hmm...mind giving abit of feedback?

you can burn mp3's on a dvd-r disc.. which holds 4.7gb, and use that instead of using the normal cdr's which is only 700mb

there's no need for 6 mp3 cds when you have gigamp3 :pBut there's always need for 6 disc dvds full of video clips.

is there any down side about this kinda touch screen unit? or other stuff that i should know???Well obviously if it stuffs up, it's gonna cost a bit to fix but both alpine and pioneer are touch screens. More user friendly. My opinion, i'd go the Pioneer.

great unit to use - easy to use all functions
you won't have any problems with the touchscreen buttons as a light touch
activates the required button - you don't need to even press down
