they're like splitters or something? do they redirect more air towards the brakes?

love the rims but! and extremely clean engine bay to boot!

not exactly sure on that one, could be a lip but i think they call them canards or rice :)
but they are usualy on the side of the bumper made from CF.
illegal in OZ tho but ppl still have it for looks.
meant to serve as downforce and aerodynamics but that wont work unless your travelling over very high speed thats not possible on our roads.
you could get them from ebay for 80bux i pair to 250 i believe

EDIT: i could be wrong

they are air splitters.. you can have different designs.. some are just a piece of carbon fibre.. to direct air throught that area to cause more downforce.. usually in street cars they are there just for show... coz unless they are wind tunnel tested they are usually a waste of time...

itll do plenty for u in OZ

itll make all the little kids that c ur car point at it and say

Don't bash on the Neons! They're funny little cars that every ricer looks up to as their dream car. Leaves the good cars for the non-ricers.

look at the jap spec GT racer they have these for front downward force.

Every little bit helps, any front downward force will be good. Just don't go over kill and look like a real ricer, unless that's the image you want.

it is called a canard, u can buy them for the front, side skirt and back/side bar, not really down force as it weighs like 200gs lol, most made from carbon firbe, i have some on my side skirts on my em1, looks rice and clean, made mostly for show. the other ones that go above the canards are called splitters, theyre the curvy line things they re-direct the wind, aerodynamic stuff, all racing car drivers use them esp. at TSUKUBA circuit in japan, very popular in that field.

buy thme from tuning shops such as holfords.

It looks like they're vertical plates. It might not actually be useful at all and be a failed attempt at an endplate to reduce vortices off a wing...but as it isn't a wing at all...

You can achieve a better effect at low speeds by putting 50kg of rice on the front seats.
