^^^^yeah man, wery hard to do, be heaps easier to mask it all off and paint it on the car.

But to answer you there are 8 (yes 8) small screws you have to get to from the inside, which means pulling everything appart (Headunit, a/c controls and p/w swithces).

The screws are 4 on the left side where the A/C and HU are (2 on either side) and 4 on the other side where the power window switches are, but unless you have very very small hand and a small screwdriver (or similar) they are going to be a b!tch to undo. I gave up on mine :( Hope this helps

I needed to make a hole in that piece of trim to install a tacho (where the rear demister button is), so i thought id just take it off. I got the 4 screws on the right hand side undone then gave up on the left hand side. maybe if you had the right tools it might be ok, but yea i never got around to taking it off. i just made the hole with the trim still on. pain in the ass. As for painting it, masking it off will probably work if you take your time and do a good job. good luck with it

i would paint it in the car but it could get messy, as for plastic primer, black, then clear . my white interior would be stained!
i need to know exactly where the screws are?

and is there any other way to get to it?
alexx how did u get to those 4 screws? thru the dimming button?

haha yer bro only way to really get that piece off is to take the dash out, which will give you good access to unscrew that panel from behind..:)
