one of my friends sed the AUDM VTi-R prelude is equivalent to the JDM type S true, not true?

Type S never release in AUS.

20hp more than the 99-01 model, and 30hp more than the 97-98 model is a good start. what a lost kent.

even then they have two different engines

the h22a comes :

162kw(ish)

the last (type s h22a) has higher domed pistons and a bump up in compression

The AUDM VTi-R ATTS is similar in the way that it gets the ATTS system, but the Aussie spec car still misses out on the crazy wing, fog lights, strut brace, and on top of all of that, the AUDM car gets a sunroof!

All of those parts are superfluous when you consider that AUDM was robbed of the sweet Type S h22a.

CORRECTION:
Disgusting wing, useless foglights, strut brace u can purchase for AUDM, and no sunroof???
atleast it comes with a H22A type S :)

Disgusting wing, well, we're all open to our opinion. I quite like it, but hate the look of the front of an 04 Impreza, much like your avatar.

Foglights, by definition are to be used in fog, and are therefore pretty much useless outside of it.

The strutbrace (to my knowledge) requires significant modification to fit an AUDM - it's easier to just get a Neuspeed one.

The Type S H22A also got a port polish job, and different cams to help it's different CAI and headers make more power.
