Gday guys.
Just bought myself a 96 GSI integra. Didnt know much about them so I came in here and read some of the threads. By the sounds of things there isnt much difference in speed between a GSI and a VTI.
I must say that I did give the car a hit the other night and thought to myself, "whats the point?". The car is ....(sorry guys) a slug! Got to about 3000 RPM and waited for something to happen. The revs just kept rising ever so slowly. Sounds ok but thats about it. The car does run perfect and has low kms, the truth is, these cars are definately not speed machines!
Having said that, Im going to trade the thing in and buy myself another subaru.
Nothing like a bit of boost. :) Nothing worse than driving a car with less than 150kw!!!
Sorry boys. :thumbdwn:

yeah i'm gonna sell my teg and buy a Subaru tooo. just so it can spend half its life at the mechanics...
Yeah ya right a GSI integra isn't a speed machine, but depends what your compareing it to. I've seen GSI's keep up with WRX's and i've seen VTIR's (includeing mine) beat WRX's.
Also what other nineties model 1.8l litre NA, no vtec cars are faster then a GSI teg? very very few!
But seriously if all you want is outright straight line speed then why the hell would you buy a Honda.

And your point is?
Firstly theres no such thing as an Integra VTI...
Secondly, dont mention ur street antics on this forum, as any sort of reference to illegal driving/hoonin is prohibited.
Thirdly, this is a stupid comparison...we all know that a turbo vehicle is better/faster than the lowest model Integra!
Closed ftw!
