Hey guys,
Its coming close to replace the Timing Belt (Very close indeed actually)
I was wondering if using an aftermarket one will do anything for me or is it better to stick to stock timing belt?
Thanks

It won't losen/stretch over time like the stock one. It won't increase or decrease power or torque, it's just stronger.

so the aftermarket ones won't stretch or loosen overtime meaning they won't need replacing that soon?
So if I did install an aftermarket one, I don't notice any changes to the car at all?

On a stock engine used on the street OEM is fine. If u start raising the rev limit then an aftermarket one like toda or gates will be more reliable.

Gates one is not that expesive man, i think i paid just over 90 for mine (SOHC) and my friend paid something like 140 for his (DOHC) from REPCO
don't know how much OEM ones are but i don't thing gates would be more expensive, and it's meant to be stronger

Sorry bud, I used a Toda this time. I was going to try the Greddy one but the Toda was the same price and 3 time stronger than the Greddy and 4-5 times stronger than OEM. Never looked at Gates. Shoot me a link if you have one.
