JDM DC5R > DC2R > AUDM DC5R

this is in respect to track times, not outright power (the K20 has more grunt y0)

in terms of handling, dc2 wins hands down.

jdm dc5r slllliightly quicker on track than jdm dc2r. only coz of the extra torque and power.

dc5r also has more potential to increase power via mods.

Thats my thoughts on the Type R. Esp the generation 1 models.

When you start modifing the DC5R craps on the dc2r. AUDM dc5r is way too down tuned. Release its potential with ECU and Coilover set and watch a dc5r rip the dc2r. Also DC5 is much more stiffer in chassis.

Also DC5R was built from stratch. Then daily models were released. Where DC2 start as a daily car Late '93 (SiR, GSi, VTiR etc.) and then modified into a type R '96-01.

i like how you cant post a thread on any honda forums without it turning into DC2 > DC5 or turbos are crap or vtec is best for the track or FWD is best or whatever.

That's the case with the JDM DC5R. AUDM "DC5R" is the USDM Acura RSX, hence one of the derivative, or daily, models of the JDM DC5R. Different engine package (compression, cams?), no brembos, no LSD, chassis not up to JDM spec. We got gypped with the DC5.
