happened yesterday, im not quiet sure really.
lowered my car the other day (pretty low), after few days of driving, im starting to hear a strange tapping sound in my engine bay.
the sound started when i went over a spd hump and heard a nasty scratch or bang from my undercarriage. i duno if i hit my exhuast or anythign thats under there? possible to hit my gearbox?
the noise tend to change according to the speed im traveling. so less noise if i go slow, faster i get, the quicker the tapping. its most audible at low spds.
also when i stop from a drive and step on the clutch, they seem to be alil knocking sound. i can feel it from the vibration through the clutch pedal
could i possible hit something , ie my gearbox???!!! or maybe its just my wheel bearing gone and its making that clicking sound as i drive?...or CV?
i duno...enlighten me...dont wanna spend another fortune on it.
thank you

it could be ur exhuast banging against your bumper bodykit, i've got that sound as well, do u get any noise when u car is not moving at all?

could be. but i have no noise when the car is stationary. ill check my exhuast tmrw for any loose bits or bent parts that could be rubbing against my car.
forgot to my mention, the car seem to have a sqeekin noise as i drive. coming near the rear underbody. sounds more of someting winding/ twisting. i get the sound wether i go fast or slow. it can be heard at certain turn of the wheel, at the same prosition everytime.

check your lug nuts are on tight.

clicking noise is when the clutch is engage or not engaged? if the noise stops when the clutch pedal is pushed down then you have a stuffed input shaft bearing.

it could be ur guards on loose, the wind blows it and it taps your fenders. just a sugestion. but have a look at them

i checked the car out yesterday
na its not that kind of winding noise. and yes the lug nuts are on tight i checked that first.
it think i could have hit something under my car while he was going the speed hump and caused whateva to be lose / vibrating / hitting against the car. could be because the car is too low and as the front wheel comes off the spd hump , the weight of the car pushes down and the peak of the hump hit the ca r.
hmm his getting it checked out tonight, hopefully its nothing big. whats the worse that could happen? bent / dmgd exhuast pipe?
small stone stuck in the tyre grooves.
haha na his car is far from that. stones dont make knocking noises in the around the engine bay area
