agreed.
pipe thickness needs to be 3 1/2" thick.
also needs 3 coats of ceramic coat.
proper hooks to hold up the panel.
and it would be pretty mad

I always thought 2.5" intake diameter was the most optimised size for a b16

You sure you're not confusing that 2.5" with the exhaust?

AEM yo.. comes in 2.5"..
apparently they test all the pipe sizes for a b16a... and 2.5" came out ontop.. 3" was too big..
From memory AEM :
2.5 for b16
2.75 for GSR (VtiR)
3 for ITR and H22
BTW.. all the info is here: http://www.aempower.com/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=336#
Open the installation instructions.. it states that the air filter is 2.75, hence the pipiong is 2.5"... dyno tested and proven

No, it's an IPS intake manifold for the K series. It still runs a single throttle body.

That intercooler has a peice of perspex with holes in it to get rid or high speed bugs problems. So that reduces its eficiancy even MORE

i dunno i dont think it would work that well, the air is getting pressed against it while its trying to suck air in, if it was straight on with the pipe it may be better coz the air goes straight into it rather than it trying to catch it.
i wouldnt get one personally and i wouldnt reccomend it.

actually they are a taiwanese product thou..........had been in the market few years time in overseas
The way of their design is to "suppose" toget cold ait into the intake mainfold
using the FMIC idea.....
Those ppl say "suck in waters, drive in the rain" don't hv to worry too much,as they got a "plastic cover" on the front to prevent waters going in....
but by doing this,it restricted the air......LOL(no idea what they think)
but from other review in the state according to the intake mods, it's way too long for the piping to go through from the front bar to the throttle body. Honda do very responsive to the design of the CAI,that's why AEM or Injen had done many research for the length of their CAI kit.
So,as a conclusion......this won't work and it's a waste of money...........
