My mate has decided to get a fujitsubo exhaust for his DC5R

He wants to know what the difference is between RMO1A and the Power Getter? There is a few hundred dollars difference so which one is the better buy??

thanks for any help

RMO1A is quieter I believe...

According to there website, it says that the RM01A is more mid range whereas the PG is in the high rev range?

I dunno I can't read jap properly but you get to see pics :P:D
You can listen to sound clips on the website dude!!

Apparently the difference is in the region where most gains is produced...As MO said..RMO1A better gain in midrange, while powergetter will have better top end.

The RMO1A is also a lot quieter than the powergetter, but some people dislike the kinda bubbling sound of it.. I think that will be to personal preference.

Also the price of the RMO1A is higher than that of the powergetter..

Power difference is zero between the two...
Power Getter looks cool, but is bloody loud...
RM01A looks like shit but is quite...

They are pretty much for muchness. Just have a browse through www.fujitsubo.co.jp

The site is pretty basic to navigate even though it's in Jap. You can also look at claimed power gains, suggested noise levels and cool bits and pieces like that.

Based on the info on the site, the RM01A gives a 3.1kw (at the fly) gain compared to the PG which gives a massive 2.3kw gain.

Noise wise they are actually pretty similar going off the specs on the site, but going off some opinions above, this doesn't appear to be the case.

I would just get what looks better on the car I guess?!

Ive got the Power Getter on my DC2R.
Its awesome at high range...the vtec SCREAMS so loud but its also good cuz when your in low rpms it aint much louder than the stocky!

Got pulled over by cops b4 and theyve tested my exhaust and there hasnt been any drama about it!

the pg and rm01a both are 3 piece
they have the same b pipe and the 90 degree bend in dc2rs ...
but just the axle back is different ..
the muffler of the rm01a is bigger and the tip is smaller .. giving a quieter sound
whilst the pg is vice versa

how did they test ur exhaust dude? wot RPM? becoz my exhaust is fairly quite at 3000rpm, but at 3500pm, it resonates pretty loudly, 500rpm would make the difference between me passing and fail i reckon.

They told me to rev it constantly at 4000!
So i did it for about 5-10 sec and the cop had nothing to say about it!

Hey Guys,

I'm new to this website, i've just got a DC5 Type R and been browsing for recommended mods..

I was thinking of getting Buddy Club Racing Spec III.. my friend had it on his DC5-R and was really loud.. but sounded good. Would you recommend this over the Fujitsubo's? Which would you guys recommend for performance? Any help appreciated...

THanks!

Yeah, my friend had the buddly club spec III and was hell loud... my gf will probably tell me to get rid of it.. but it looks nice.. mugen twin loop, fujitisbo and spoon don't look as good... but if there is quiet a difference in performance between the buddy club and these i wouldnt look at the buddy club.. but it is noisey...

the new buddy club spec IV is supposed to be quiet.. but still confused what to get..

Yeah i've been keeping my eye out at buddy club spec IV. I think it was made to compete with the mugen twin loop. MAX power with min sound.

I'm in Perth, only place I know I can get it from is that website.. www.takakaira.com

my friend got his buddy club spec III from Singapore... But I havent bothered shopping around the Perth Tuning shops yet.. but they don't stock it in their websites..

u know anywhere else i can get the buddy club spec IV from to compare prices??

since this is a fujitsubo thread, do anyone have/ heard anything about the legalis R zorst? i read from their website that this system is more oriented to creating torque rather then horsepower gains (probably bs anyway) but it is also quietish which is my main concern. i could add silencers but thats extra cost.
its sits between the PG and RM01A so i suppose its a good unit but would like some sort of feedback.

Hey Sp3rMz, you know anywhere in Australia that distributes buddy club spec IV?? I got a quote back on shipping from Japan.. $550.00AU plus $750.00AU for the exhaust... shipping is what kills it.. :(

most distributors i've found on the net only do the lightweight rims...

any distributors in eastern states?

www.takakaira.com - japan

cas of the exchange rate.. and the exhaust being long.. its more expensive to ship.. they suggested i should get more things from them so they can pack it in the same container..

..but still.. my friends telling me to get buddy club.. work best with integra type R. might have to ask some workshops to order it in.. maybe they know someone cheaper then buying online as they buy in bulk

When you listen betwen the RM and the PG you will notice that the PG is much more bassy. When you hit vtec you get this loud musculine vrooom but sadly you loose the vtec sound of your engine. The RM on the other hands still retains the engine note.

speeder, the legalis r for the dc2 is quiet, and quite restrictive. i gained 7 hp on the dyno just by unbolting the rear muffler
