Hey all.... just wanna know what is the difference between an EK4 Chasis (Shell) to a EK9 Chasis (Shell). The reason y i would like to know this is because there is a guy in Melb selling a 1999 black civic type r that is entirely rebuilt with EK9 parts onto a EK4 Chasis (Shell)... this is the link at carpoint.. http://carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/marketplace/UsedCarDetail.asp?ID=2542849&Criteria=%40Make%3D%2 7HONDA%27%2C+%40Model%3D%27CIVIC%27%2C+%40OrderBy% 3D%27P2%27&NoOfRecs=257&PageNo=1&chkRows=500
Can anyone share their thoughts on this or whether they have physically checked out this car and how it is.... Cheers...

well I dont so much care about that, as much as i care about the fact that he sais, origonal recaros when they can't be if its a built up EK-4 and it has a 3" exhaust. my mates comos dont even have 3" exhaust, his supercharged v6 doesn't even have a 3" WTF. this guy really is a Dick head.

Perhaps he brought original CTR Recaros from Japan and he means 3" TIP?

have a test run on that EK9 .
and then have a test run on any EK4 VTIR .

then let us know the result.

or if u treat me a cigarette, I will go to have a test run on that EK9 with you ..

then tell me the difference btw that EK9 and my EK4.

EK9 brought it from someone who brought it in previously?

I know how EK9 got it in, but you have to be in Victoria to do it and I think the loophole is now gone - anyone confirm or deny?

It was such a nice loophole too :)

Yeah, kinda. I bought it off a guy who bought it off the guy who brought it in... Make sense??? :?
The guy who imported it most likely would have brought in most of the CTRs running around in Melb. He specialised in importing Hondas (wrecked, repaired, complianced, etc). You know the yellow NSX-R in Speed Mag a while back? I'm pretty sure it was his. My bro also got his JDM ITR off this guy... Don't ask, i dunno how to get in contact wif him anymore ;)

Anyways, sorry for going off topic 8)
