what the hell is this hole used for?

when you take out ur motor form the engine u just put a bolt there 14mm bolt attached to a chain.. and the other end of the chain to one of the brackets on teh gear box.. so u can balance out the weight to lift it out of the car or lift it up from the floor. well tahts what i use the hole for. cheers john.
