hey guys, i just installed my whiteline 22mm rear sway bar on my DC4, problem is it seems to be hitting the stock exhaust piping.... is this normal? i've also got koni yellow shocks + eibach springs installed.

i have to say that the quality of whiteline parts that came through were not the greatest. the braces had paint chipped off them and underneath it was rusted.... like they literally got just spraypainted over the rust. the nuts and bolts were weak and a couple of the bolts threads just wore away like butter..... kinda sucked but hey what can you do....

i remember reading another thread where someone installed it with the shiteline logo upside down meaning they installed the whole bar upside down.... but with this fitting it has made me think twice.

here are some pics, can someone tell me if anything looks wrong with the way i've installed it please?

have you tried turning the bar the other way around?

As Limbo said, pretty sure it is on upside down.

What do you want a pic of? All you have to do is turn the swaybar around - pretty straight forward.

i'll take some pics on the weekend of the correct way to have it installed, the clearance is huge now and i don't get a horrid crunching noise fron it hitting my exhaust! hehe

the whiteline sticker is nothing to do with the "correct" way of mounting.
Your swaybar is the right way around installed :)

don't rely on the sticker to tell you which way is up or down, that was my mistake.

i guess i should've just used common sense when i put it on and checked before tightening all the bolts up

the designed layout is follows the same as the stock swaybar. IE the ends face "down". On some instances people can actually flip teh bar around IF its hitting sussy/exhuast/LCA's etc.

even if your swaybar does hit your exhaust.. and if you turn it around, it hits the LCAs.. you could try this DIY

ok la, will take it off again, so basicly yours at the moment the sticker is upside down right, cos i just go direct to the point , don't really feel like playing with much since this thing is heavy , i'm not that strong and i'm lazy.....

As Ben said, its nothing to do with the sticker - just the swaybar ends should curve down to clear the body. If you are having trouble with it still hitting, do as trippy suggested.

hey guys, took it off last night , turn it around , it hits LCA, so LCA does make the difference, cos it is thicker than the stock one, also tried to put on the type r one ,but no luck , the d bracket does not line up with the stock square bracket , someone enlighten me here, cheers
