pre-facelift or facelift?

just want to know everyones opinon on which ek HATCH look the best.

i havnt yet to find a facelifted ek9 in melb or in aus in fact. maybe im not looking hard enough, how rare are these?

anyways leave your opinons and why. might consider a front end conversion.

well even if they are modded just check out the size of the headlight and the gab between the headlight and the grill. the pre is a little bigger then the facelife.

i think hes talking bout the rear bumper and front cause pre face come with mouldings unless u got a ctr 96-98

i've owned both prefacelift and facelifted. i guess it really depends on colour
as my car was silver. i prefer the facelift.

white -facelift
black - pre faclift
silver - facelift
red - prefaclift
purple - pre facelift

Backyard special and JWALKER. same shit just one has the carbon fin thingys, and hte other doesnt. i think one has carbon lip and the other doesnt aswell

its tougher, less streamlined, more sqaure'ish looking. think has the fact to do with the bigger headlights, and mostly the mouth in the bumper, whereas the facelift have two smaller air vents (fog lights).

thats how i see it personally anyways

I like the pre-facelift with a good lip on it... Otherwise the Facelift models have always looked better IMO. But alas, i'm bias since i own one! :)

I go the facelift...

Because the pre-facelift one looks ugly with the fog lights install. The facelift look much better when fog lights install.

To me it really only depends on weather you bought a 96-98 or a 99-00 why try to be a model that you are not? its not like it is a beneficial modification so its all up to your taste. I own a 97 so naturally i would prefer the prefacelift because im biassed, although after much staring at both front ends the 96-98 seems to follow the contours of the lower edge of the car which the Airwalker, Backyard Special and even the facelifted model from Honda dont follow which kind of looks funny but maybe im picky.

coz ma front bumper is a bit loose coz da screws on da side which attaches my front bumper to the fenders always goes loose .. i always gotta tighten it with a screw driver every few days or so..

But my main reason for choosing pre is cause the facelift CXI is the same as CTR. When the CTR pre is doesn't have the gay mouldings that CXi/GLi/VTiR/SiR have, making it harder to find, thus rarer.

Ok so i got a 97 ek pre facelift (sedan) wanting to get rid of those crappy moldings on the front bar. does that mean i gotta do a whole facelift converstion or is there anyother bar i can get that a straight swap.
