funny idle in the heat only

Hey,

car is a EJ8 and recently in the heat the car starts to idle REAL funny.
when its really hot the car idles at 0-1rpm and sometomes stalls.

but then at night when its cooler its fine?

I always warm it up for atleast 3-5 minutes before driving and its only clocked100 000kms.

Im taking it to Hannys today but wondering if anyone has had this problem and what it was.

thermo stat? had a service lately?
no oil? LOL.
check for bubbles in ur radiator also.

it might just be a dirty throttle body ? and the rev's r just playing around with ya.. you can try to clean it if you want it might help ya,

pop your bonnet, unattach the intake arm
if you havent done this b4 there should be a flat head screw driver screw, unscrew it
spray some carby cleaner on it and inside ur throttle body
start the car, then hold the revs at 2k so it doesnt stall

hope that works for you?

also when u put the screw back in.. screw it so it just gets tight, then loosen it 3/4

Yung at hannys thought it may be 02 sensor-he changed it but didnt do jack
Ive got spoon leads which are aging and he told me t change em and that may be the prob

im also gonna clean throttle body IACV soon if the leads dont do anything

sorry i know its not to ur question, but what bout if the car is idlin above 1rpm like mayb 1200, wen uve just gave abit of a thrashing?

i used to have the EXACT same problem in my old car (celica) but it got totalled b4 i could figure out what was causing it... its a pain in the ass!
