I wired my SAFC in today and it all went well except one thing.
When i turn the car in the power goes down to about 8v and the SAFC restarts it self, this causes the ECU to think the MAP sensor is broken and it goes into limp mode.
It is wired in to the ECU power wire.
Is this normal for power to go down this much?
Im thinking it might be my earth off the battery as it is still the stock 20 yr old one,

Ill upgrade this and if it doesnt work ill have to run a relay and a new wire for the SAFC.

fat_85_civic - Dont know if this will help u out, but i had the same problem when i installed my SAFC, turned out that i had got one of the 'Ground' wires from the SAFC-->ECU mixed up.

Double & Tripple check all wires and splices that they are correct, as i know there's a shit load of wires and very little room so its easy to clip the wrong one. Also make sure there soldiered or at very lease very well covered with electrical tape. I.E - Make sure no wires are shorting against eachother !

Goodluck !

their all connected to teh correct wires but when i turn over teh engine the starter motor takes too much power causing all the voltage to drop.
You can see teh lights in it go dim and sometimes it restarts.
Ill fix it in a few weeks when im on holideays.
