Dude the exhaust shop should have welded/positioned the pipe correctly not to hit the axel. When i had my original exhaust ( Axel pipe) re-done they simply mandrel bent it leaving enough room. Never hit axel once... I'd take it back and get them to do it properly...

As for toning down ur exhaust you could try another resonator however it will only do so much.. Either get a silencer for your cannon or change muffler. Fact is cannons are just plain louD!!

probably want to change the cannon to quieten your exahust down mate, you might get a bit more backpressure as a result, might pick up a few extra horses. N/A cars always benefit more from a system that has adequate backpressure.

I'll go out on a limb and say that going under the axle might mean you will have issues with ground clearance, but it will flow better as there will probably be less of a deviation in the flow of the exhaust which will be better for performance

I got 2 1/2 on my DA9 and it clears all that fine poor design in the exhaust i say

get a silencer for your cannon

going under the axle provide a better exhaust flow
but u have to pay for ground clearance, pull over by cops, etc
if u lower ur car, even a slmall amount, your exhaust probably a not far from hitting the ground.

just get the exhaust u got done properly, cheap and good way to fix ur problem

get some twin loop or oval muffler to make ur exhaust quiet
