has anyone tried removing the rear muffler (the massive barrel) and replacing that with a smaller muffler and then putting back original tip, mine is em1 but i think all should be the same?
if so was there any gains?
and how much louder did it make it?
you mean the resonator?
i took off my muffler for a joke and it was VERY loud. it was a DIY buddyclub spec 2.

i've been driving around with no muffler for about a year now
its not that loud, actually quite low compared to the huge cannon on my bros crx
and to take it off it's just 2 bolts behind the axel, undo them then unhook the rubber bushes its attached to

get a JASMA approved muffler, and
a) it's JDM bling
b) it's going to be quiet too.
There would have to be some brand that would make a JASMA approved muffler for the EM-1
