Hey guys
I have come across a pair of Sr2 Recaros shown in picture below, No Rails, one slight wear mark on drivers seat. Reclinable. Can get them for $600.00
What do you guys think? anything i should specifically check before buying? anything i should check to see if they are genunine or fake?

theyre diff to each other..ones bigger :)
now for 600 and if there real...well thats ok..but they look pretty ugly imo ahaha..then again u still gotta take into account that u need to get rails..n u dont wanna get dodgy ones for em or ull pay the price..
id say for the amount of the seats, rails and fixin up..u can get the type R recaros with rails for eitherdc2 or ek..( i duno wat ya drive ) for 1100 n up..dependin on condition..but they look 100 times better than those

one does look larger then the other, but i think its an optical illusion as the left one is reliced, and i plan on haveing these retrimmed to a custom fabric anyway

As above..deff different models..look at the head rests..the SR3 always has a longer/skinny head rest compared to tthe SR2's

They're both the same, one is further back and reclined. As for genuine or not, there should be tags and other identifying marks. $600AUD = $450USD. Not too bad of a price.

Dude thats a pretty good deal, i would pick them up and have them retrimmed as you said. i had my old ones retrimmed in black and red sueue and they cost me 110 a chair and thats in sueue.....you could get them done for about 150 in cloth for both.
and you can get an exhaust shop to custom the stock rails to fit on the chairs

i'd re-trim them in cotton, suede its just to easy to make ripples in..

i wouldnt know cos im from perth but the best way to do it is, yellow pages and get a list and just call a few until you get the cheapest price.
depending on the matrial they might charge more per Square meter. labour really isnt that much because it doesnt take them that long. 2-3 hours max

Closed, as we dont allow 'how much is xx worth' type posts. Secondly, this is hardly a technical issue. If you want to know there value search.
