how to change exterior door handles?

i just got a new exterior door handle for my driver door... i opened the interior trim all up and it had one rod connecting to the opening latch and another rod for the key turn... now the key one looks easy enough to take out but the handle one looks tough..

anyone have any ideas?

what I do is undo the two bolts that hold it to the body, then pull it out and away from the car and turn the door handle until you unwind it from the thread.

do the same in revers to reinstall.

ahhh good idea... and with the other rod for the key lock can i just get a pair of plyers n kinda jimmy it out? or is there a certain technique?
