Hi guys,

I recently got canaried for being too low from a police officers point of view. Correct me if im wrong but isnt 10cm or 100mm the legal height limit for Vic? As I didnt have a ruler on me to prove that I was just above 100mm I didnt argue as he measured it with a book that look like it was at least 15cm in length. Although I didnt get fined, It was a liittle hassel of get a rwc.

Included is some pics of how low I am at the moment. Let me know if you think I am road worthy.

Bl mate. Where were you when he caught you?

Why bother posting up pics of you height with photos? Depending the angle you took your photo it can look like any height.

Just go to your mechanic and get them to measure the lowest point of your car (which is usually your header), since you have to go there to get a rwc any ways.

And yes, 10 cm or 100mm is the legal height limit for vic.

Then Vic and Syd are the same. I was informed by my mechanic.

im pretty sure that 100mm at the lowest point of the car with any state is illegal

I cop it in Richmond when I was leaving to work - I think it was swan street.

Very lucky i reckon not to get a fine. My other mate who got a canary got fined. Why you you think he got a fine? Rookie officer? Smart A$re friend?

czy_sol87 ... Yeh the cops said he could tell be the book ...

I now also carry a ruler :P

Thanks for the link "air23box" - here are the links. cbf loading the other pics

fines really depend on the officer, if ur a smart ass ur probly gonna get a bigger fine and more defects, but if ur polite and do as the officer says u might be lucky enough to not get a fine, dont suck up to them either cause they CAN tell when ur an ass kisser and they probly wont like it

Not sure if this is correct but I heard that copping a defect where you need to get a rwc, there must be 3 more visible/audible defects.

I spoke to my mechanic and he mention that once u get 3 defects on your car... 3 strikes...your out... you need to get an engineers report which will leave u quite a bit out of pocket. Is that correct?

on the tyre it has its maximum weight. and then they check the tyre placard on ur doors.
