hey guys....
i have a pionner head-deck....and i wanted to make a headphone jack connected through the RCAs....its so i can plug my ipod/PSP through the head-deck and speakers for a more clear sound compared to iTrip...
but i dno if i can...it has two RCA's and im thinking of plugging it in the second RCA with a headphone jack on the otherside...but will that work./!?!

well as is clearly stated, the rca's are OUTPUT, and you need INPUT. essentially you need an input point before the amplification stage of the headunit (assuming that you are not running a separate amp for your entire system).

this can be fairly difficult to do, if you simply splice into the rca's with the intention of going straight to the speakers you will find that the signal is very weak. opening up your head unit wouldnt be that big a deal in my opinion, but most people would probably have a cry and not do it

yes i would do that..ahha..im to lazy...hmm...i may jusy buy/swap head-decks

If the deck doesn't have RCA inputs or a 3.5mm jack, then there isn't an easy way to get the ipod/psp connected.

josh, just get a new deck, i can get you Panasonic/Pioneer from around $200 with ipod ready $150(ipod module) or even Alpine, but u need to call me i wont reply ur SMS

thanks ki....i just got the adaptor...for it and it enables a aux out option..!!!
but i do need a head-deck for amanda car...
