i was just wondering if any has done this and could help me out. i have a civic eg 94 and i want to repaint the window seals on my car because the paint has come off etc. is it easy to take the window seal off or should i just cover the door and do it on the car and also should i sand it down with fine paper first?

Sorry about the shitty pic, phone camera.

It was too technical for me :p so i won't be doing any other ones any time soon.
I did find out that someone took off the back ones b4 as all the clips were broken and it was held in with stikaflex :thumbdwn: , guess they weren't as careful as i was, i only broke 3 clips :o

PS: It's alot easier to get the end clip out if you take off the mirror.

yeah but you can slide it out abit and then you dont have to worry about getting under the mirror i broke 1 clip in the middle but that one doesnt matter. boban how come your locks are up there have you got a sedan or sumthin

Gee thanx John, why don't you tell the whole world :p

Anyhow, have you guys (those that had the tape on for a while) noticed anything going wrong with it, fading, comming off etc.... I want to take my car to the car wash but i'm afraid that it will dissolve the tape (i know it's 'cloth tape' but it looks paperish to me)

Also, anyone up for forming the 'cloth tape window seal team'???? (or not!!!)

ive washed my car several times and it has been in the hot sun for a day and everything is still perfect

guys mines been on my car for ages, the only problem is at one of the ends its sorta shrunk but i just fixed that with abit more tape, i think it shrunk due to heat. but my cars always parked outside so its pretty much exposed to every element in the weather, ive taken it to car lovers and used that high pressure hose on it and its still there so you guys shouldnt be seeing any problems just yet :P
