I have just had an apexi neo installed, tuned and dyno'ed.
The before and after runs showed an increase of 15HP.

Being a fairly new product, i thought you guys would it see how it performs.

*it has the looks, and also has a meaningful purpose*

the dyno sheet can be seen at my website:

the gain is from the tune not the Apexi Neo. Its all in the tune, not the tool you use to tune with.

since the neo can only tune the fuel and vtec engagement, looking at the "flatness" of the stock ECU's A/F ratio, can i use only the fuel pressure regulator to get similar result?

i thought it also tunes airflow...?

that dyno shows increases that almost look too good to be true... not necessarily because of the value, but because of the nearly perfect movement of the line...

not saying you're making it up, just that it doesn't look right to me

i thought it also tunes airflow...?how would it affect the physical airflow through the motor?

id like to know the AT vs IT through the two runs. U can see straight up there is no way a CAI will be 5'C above ambient..

Why not? Dynos are run with the bonnet open, with a fan blowing in.

exactly.
AMBIENT temp = exactly the same in the engine bay, as it would be outside the engine bay. Just take notice when u are looking at other dyno sheets. AT and IT are mostly identical.

The reason i bring this up is because the greater these values are apart, the moreless HP your car will read. Its all about dynodynamics making the playing field even, so temps do not effect dyno readings.

yeah i'd like to think such a simple tune could net 15hp on a B16A but the almost identical but shifted curve suggest a bit of dyno operator trickery.
like saxman said it doesnt look right. usually they curve would change shape a little more.
in fact, i'm gonna have a look at my bro's readout. the previous owner had a vafc tuned at xspeed also. see if the same thing is present

Yeah, the power curve should be closer together at low RPM.

I know for a fact xspeed alters the dyno print outs!!!
I had a SAFC2 installed and tuned by them and same read out 15hp gain and a perfect A/F ratio line..
Took it to a dyno down the road and the A/F was absolutly F@##% so they retuned it and gained 7 real HP and this time i the car didnt feel sluggish like after letting xspeed touch it

is it possible to tune the apexi AFC neo urself??
like with the greddy emanage where u get a program, and use a laptop to tune

does it come with all the necceary looms to do so, or do u have to buy them seperate?

Does your car's power still hold up after a couple of months?

Don't know about the EK civics' ECU, I previously owned a ES civic 03 model, shows good gains (+10 bhp) after tuning with a piggyback. (I used unichip)

However, after a few weeks to months, the car begins to slowly lose off some of that "increased HP". Modern Hondas ECU are known to be very smart and can overwrite these piggybacks.

Not saying piggybacks like Apexi NEO or VAFC aren't good, they just don't seem to be consistent esp with the newer Honda ECUs. (Maybe emanage ultimate can do the trick, but I don't know)

IMHO, if you want serious performance & consistent power, a standalone is the only way to go.

with your catback system are you running the stock cat or are you running an aftermarket one?
