"s2000 engine, yes yes fully fonctionnal with 6 speed tranny rear diff from the s2000. Took me 2 years to finish the project, mainly because of the 1000 pounds of sound system. Done a run at 14.2 on the quarter mile but it doesn't mater, it's just fun doing donuts with a civic!"

Why have a huge system if you're gonna do something crazy like an F20 in a Shivy??

if the system is that big. then I guess its friggin heavy. also, the system is at the back mostly, and its a fwd car.

You'd have a hell of a lot more fun putting the nsx motor in. Unless of course you're staying fwd, since it is transverse and all.

How the hell is a 14 not unbelievable. A huge sound system and a crap driver negates any weight loss relative to an s2000.

no offence but if you think 14 is a crap time, then i suggest you put your own f20/22 into your eg and beat it :) to me the fact that he actually convereted it to rwd and fit the s2k engine and tranny in is amazing

i wonder how that goez...

im guessing pretty hard and unpredictable -> short wheel base ftl :(
it would look cool tho

Wheelbase
EG Civic Hatch: 101.30 in = 2573mm
S13 Silvia: 97.4 in = 2474 mm

My what a short wheelbase the EG civic has compared to a renound "drift" car.

its more the fact that it could a much faster time if took all the audio gear out of.
seems a little silly to me to that you would put ssssoooo much audio gear into a car like that, but hey its his money

teh guy put audio gear in the rear BECAUSE there was no weight in the rear, the car gets NO TRACITON,all the power gets delivered to the rear, and theres not enuf weight to hold the wheels down. spin spin spin = 15.0 pass

anything is possible, but take a minute to think, s2k is rwd and civic is fwd, that means that a custom diff has to be made, and i dont know about u but i dont trust most companies with safety of their cars why should i trust someone at a performance shop??? that car posted in the first page is completely unsafe...

Why would it be unsafe?

because its engineered by a backyard engineer... FWD to RWD conversion, DUHHHH...

id prefer to see a heavily striped interior :p
if it was done by any good engineer who didnt screw up in his calculations i dont see how it would be any less safe. currently studying mechanical engineering, majoring in automotive/motorsport, i can tell you theres no way a dumbass/backyarder could finish up with a degree in this course, they all dropped out in the 1st few months.

to me that cars for show, for the same cost of converting to rwd & s2000 engine plus massive soundsystem, he could have built that car into a way better performing machine. he must be rich  still it is amazing what hes done

how can u say it was done by a backyard engineer, and not a highly skilled professional automotive engineer. this isnt somthing ud take to a performance shop to get done.

not nessissarily im shur theres hundreds of diffs out there that could be used, with custom axels and drive shafts, plenty of universal diffs are on the market for car builders.

that car posted in the first page is completely unsafe...

lol, that is a huge claim there from just looking at the pics of the top of the engine and steering shaft. FWD-RWD conversions have been done many times safely

there's quite a few FWD lancers getting around now with evo engines and 4WD in them. if these conversions are engineered by experienced engineers there no reason that would be an unsafe car.
