b16a head on a b20 bottom end NEED HELP ASAP

[vtec+turbo]

hi all i have just taken the turbo kit off my car and now want to put a b20 bottom end in with my b16a head

i have tried the search button but nothing came up

The question is.. What do i need

b20 bottom end
b16a head
golden eagle vtec conversion kit????

look on honda-tech for everything u need

if your going to boost your b20 i would recomend sleaving the block
i got mine done with darton sleaves it will handel up to 30psi
this block will be for sale soon

but since you took off your turbo i'm guessing your not going to boost the b20?

b18c Waterpump and timing belt
ARP rod and head bolts
A few beers

in addditional to all the other std stuff..
rear main seal.. you will have no PCV.. etc etc..

yes you can
any b series head can be used

But make sure you get the right intake manifold for the head.

I.e. the B18A manifold won't fit on any VTEC head. The B16/ITR manifold won't fit on Vti-R head and vice-versa.

You will also need either a VTEC distributor, or you will have to chop off one leg from your non-VTEC distributor (like I did), and just have it attached by the single top bolt.

Ah yes the above posts brings up an often overlooked item, the upper radiator hose. The vtec heads have the coolant outlet on the intake side, rather than the exhaust side causing the non-vtec upper hose to be a little too short, and not the right shape.

Since I forgot to take this hose from the halfcut I ripped the head out of, I used a spare lower hose I had and hacked it up until it fit. A better option is obviously to buy a new one :)

i forgot about the head studs. so i've edited the post.

you also have to extend a few wires, like the map sensor and possiby a 4 wire o2.
