hey guys, i know this has been covered many times and i have searched and answers were only bits n pieces.

Just wondering whether i can do a direct swap of my standard em1 muffler for a standard axle back type r muffler? Is this a direct bolt on ( same size and all ) and how hard is it to take off the muffler?

Anyone done this before????

not sure but then if it doesnt fit just take it to the exhasut shop and get them to redo the flanges so it lines up.

how much would that cost to redo flanges?

And if it does fit without mod, how much is an average price for installation?

mine was done at livo exhaust for 80 bucks.. they cut and welded my old flange to my axle back.

sorry i dont really understand,

So the type r muffler you had was just a muffler, no axle back?

How about sound wise/performance wise.....did it sound louder/any different....was vtec sound different?
