explain this sound

Everytime I start the car, between 30secs and 1 minute I hear this sound of a small motor working for like one second. It happened today when I was driving as well. What is it??

The sound came from somewhere near my dash... sounds sorta like a antenna motor but from the front. And no, I didn't press anything. The thing's turning itself on and off automatically...woo :shock:

i think its the abs..........but you should only hear it on start up.

That's correct. ABS it is. Don't hear that on my GSi ;)

It's the ABS and it might even make that noise when you are driving sometimes (not just on startup).
