Hi members:wave: ,
I put a pair of new tyres but i dont know how to check what direction must go forward. Because there's no rotation arrows on them. Actually, my two tyres were flat last week. So i couldnt bring my car to shop. Is there any problem if i put on wrong direction? Thanks guys.

erm there should be arrows somewhere on them. What tyres are they? Maybe u can take a picture?
U can use www.imageshack.us to upload the pic
[edit] and yeh you need to set them in the right direction otherwise they wont perform/grip well especially in the wet

If only two were flat, that means you only changed two tyres yeh?
If so, then you can simply copy the tread direction of the two existing tyres.

If all else fails go to a tyre shop and ask them. They'd surely know.Or what about the place that put them on?If they put them on the wrong way that's a bit of a worry.

Here is a pic of Dunlop's side markings (not neccessarily the SP3000A), notice the J tag where it shows the rotation arrow.

I have those beaut tyres. The great thing is they are non-directional!

Well that explains the confusing diagonal tread :p
lol they could have at least put the words "non-directional" on the tyre so we at least know.

What are these tyres like?Have you had them long?

Simply excellent. Have had them for about 12 months but I have only used them for 6 months (car in storage). For the money they are a great buy. You could buy stiffer cornering and lighter tyres (these are noticeably heavier than my old Falkens but are larger) but on a bang for buck scale these are great. Quiet and confidence inspiring wet weather performance. Car tracks straighter compared to previous directional tyres and rotation is easier. Cost only $185 per corner for 235/45/17 (that is not RRP but due to it being a common size for XR8, XR6 and HSV the price is very competitive in this size - 225/45/17 costs more by $25 per corner - go figure...).

No on slightly wider rims - 7.5" rather than 7".

OEM 17s mightn't be wide enough?Might have to go with 225s?

Yes, stick with 225 on OEM rims. It is just a bit stupid that tyres are more expensive in that smaller size.

They must sell more 235s than 225s.Therefore cheaper price.Only 10mm width diff.anyway, not much!

I understand. But rear two tyres not in order too. It's a long story. First one tyre flat and i replaced with spare wheel. I went to shop to replace. I told the idiot from the shop to change flat tyre in the boot. But he changed new spare wheel from the front on the car.
But i didnt realize that until another tyre flat and looked at my spare wheel to change.
Anyway, i checked my tyres again but there's no rotation arrows on them. I better bring to shop and check. Thanks for the helps, guys.
