Hey all,
Ran a search but none of the threads were related to what i was after.
Ocasionally when i hit VTEC i get this yellow warning light with a battery symbol, so i checked my battery, it was going flat so ive put a brand new Bosch battery and i still get a yellow warning light when i engage Vtec...
What could the be the problem ?????

Sounds like something might be loose. Probably a ground wire or something.
have a check round and make sure everythings nice and tight.
Also, check the fluid in your battery, it might be sloshing around and causing a problem but i doubt it.

If your battery light is flashing you have a charging problem, your alternator is probably dieing, I think you can have it tested to make sure though.

get a block of wood, rest it against the altenator then hit it with a hammer. do this while the car is on. sometimes the bushings in ur altenator wear out and dont make contact therefore the battery will stop charging. the light will go off when they make contact. worked in my 83 accord hatch... maybe slightly more room in that engine bay than ur 00 prelude.
time for a new or reconditioned altenator im thinking.

lol, i love it, ive never heard of it.....but it makes sense.....
except his car is alot newer, so id take it back to the dealer and have it fixed by honda...and it does sound like ur alternator is dying because uve already changed the battery.....

you should check the ECU for fault codes.
