Has anyone put an oil catch tank on their Euro?
I take my euro to the track once a month, one of my friend (WRX) said that is better to put an oil catch tank (particularly on the track where high rpm all the time) or it might causing some problem - oil back into the air intake.
Is that ture? and is it worth of putting one in?
Thanks

Guys in the US, tsx.acurazine.com installed catch cans on their TSX. Check it out. They caught quite a bit of oil. Depends on the car though. I tracked my car and it didn't consume oil.

Been to Wakefield once. I've only been there once, but I want to go again. Also, I would only go when there is an Ozhonda arranged day because I want official timing. There was meant to be one in November but it was cancelled. There should be one next year.
There is also circuitclub, but they are a little pricey.

Ozhonda ones will surely be posted in the upcoming events about 3 months in advance. So there will be plenty of warning. :)
Someone just needs to organise it as the usual guys are busy with commitments.

Hi aaronng,
I am with Honda car club www.hccnsw.org.au , we usually have 8 rounds supersprint per year between Eastern Creek, Oran park & Wakefield Park. If you guys interest, you more than weclome to join us.
You need to join a car club member first (our one is only $30.00 per year) & CAMS licence ($80.00 per year) in order to compete the Supersprints event.
Cost to run $160-180 each round.
Lots of fun & you see different cars like 911GT3, Lotus, V8, EVO, Rex etc.
If you need more info, PM me or check out [URL="www.hccnsw.org.au"]

Thanks for the info flypig. BTW guys, this is THE Honda Car Club of NSW. If you want a CAMS license, going through them is the way.
BTW, I just love reading the newsletters!

I checked my intake today, (K & N Typhoon CAI) and seems pretty dry & no oil marks. My car has been to Eastern Creek twice now, do I really need an oil catch tank???
Any suggestion? Thanks

You can't tell if you need an oil catch can through your intake. Are you consuming oil?
The oil that escapes from the crankcase is fed back into the intake manifold. If you take off your intake manifold cover, you'll see a hose from beneath the alternator routing to that port.
