recently got an exforce twin loop installed on my ek and now ive noticed a strong fuel smell comming out of the exhaust.

the rest of the exhaust is stock besides some xforce headers. im really confused as to what is causing the smell, im positive its comming out of the muffler, coz i cant smell it newhere around the piping or the engine.

i usually use bp ultimate, but the night b4 the exhaust was installed my dad generrously filled up my tank at newman? petrol station >< lol

neway what could be the problem? could the muffler hav cracks in it, or the car running rich? ples help hope its nothing bad

its probably the fuel itself smelling a lot. Just check out your next tank and see how it goes. If the muffler has cracks in it, you'll more than likely hear it. You can just have a look an you should be able to see if there is anything wrong with your exhaust.

You can tell if the car is running rich if you get black smoke coming out when you rev.

sometimes brand new mufflers give off a smell, because of the reaction between the heat and metal.
