check fluid resevior level - check its OEM fluid. (if not , replace)
check hoses for kinks/leaks. Check the ps motor on the engine for leaks.
Check the steering boots for leaks/holes...
what exactly is the problem ?

..which means its NOT working 100% when you are parking ( like no PS at all)
Tyres need air ?
haven't gotten around to doing the checks but yea, seems like no PS at all.
tyres have air :)

my mum had the same problem with her ek4. Fine when your moving, but once you stop and try to park and the engine is a bit cold...hard as, can barely turn the wheel....got fixed recently...her belt was worn. Replaced and all fine now.
yea arthur when the car puts up speed the steering is fine. just like spunky is saying. perhaps it is a belt problem.
