Hey guys

Wondering what the normal compression is for a D15b7 Engine, Manual, out of a 94 Eg Sedan GLI. Either in PSI or KPA

Cheers all

just make sure all 4 cylinder has similar compression readings

Yes 10% within each other, but what is the actual reading?

generally will vary with each set up, each testing rig, etc... that's why percentage is important, not the specific value

this is what i dont understand, mine is a b16a2 VTEC and my compresstion, is 160, 160, 155, 155. that is within 10% of each other, but what i dont get is that most other vtec motors have 200+psi of compression, can someone explain that??

mine is 165, 165, 165, 165 on b18cR with toda B cam
the cam's profile will affect the compressions too, i think...

think of it like a dyno... results will vary with each one, from day to day, from dyno to dyno, etc... what is important is the relative percent
