ok. just yesterday after i started the car to go out at night. i noticed my Standard tape deck lights not working.. just the display part of the deck. the buttons etc all work..

then whilst coming back home.. the whole tape deck lights didnt work..

and now just tonight, driving home. 1/3 of my Cluster lights have stopped working.

Im worried that eventually every light/bulb will go out..

checkd a few fuses.. instrument lights.. and they are ok..

note.. 2 weeks ago was the last time i installed anythin electrical.. which were the HID's... nothing has happended until yesterday

Are there any other fuses i can check??.. what could have caused this problem. and what can i do?

Thanks.. by the way. this is in a dc2r.

Pull dimmer knob out,

disconnect red wire & black wire, leave red/black wire connected,

join red wire to black wire temporarily, see if its fixed.

if fixed decide whether u really need dimmer knob or not.

Last time I had blowing bulbs in the car, turned out to be a grounding problem...

this happened to me awhile back when i installed HID's on my wrx. the interior lights disappeared slowly.
turned out to be the wire where i connected the old wiring from the stock head light wires werent having full contact.

double check that all the connections have full contact (especially if u havnt soldered your wirings)

altho. i didnt need to do any soldering????.. or do i?
coz its all just plug and play into the factory plugs..

Grounding problem.. - which area of the car/ grounding should i be checking??

"Percussive Maintenance" is a lifesaver.

As mentioned before, could be a ground wire or the dimmer switch. Check the grounds connected to the plugs you used, you might have pulled one a little too hard when you were installing.
Da9 i test drove had this issue too, i gave its dash a belt and all the climate lights came back on, so maybe the power wire behind the climate control there?

Either way, glad you got it sorted, and it's nice to know that if someone steals your car and the lights cut out that they won't know how to fix it :P
