idle is playing up??

ok i gave my car abit of a run the otha day. afta that it was idling above 1000-1200 rpm. and now wen i get off the freeway it will idle at 1100rpm then drop to like 900-1000 then jump bak up n keep goin then afta a couple of minutes it will be normal..

ne1 know wats hapenin?
