this is my dyno graph from a shootout on the weekend from a local car show www.revfest.com (http://www.revfest.com).

mods include K&N CAI from stock intake pipe and 2.25 press bent catback with resonator and magnaflow muffler.

the rest of the motor is stock including cat and JDM p13 ecu. I was running 98 fuel with an octane booster.

anyways, i was happy with the run. it got 113.5kw atw.

Pretty good and a lot more potential could be unleashed.

EKcivic96- u shuld have come and said hi. what i thought was amusing was when the dyno operator asked me in front of the crowd what sort of power i was hoping for and i replied with " 150hp " and watching the crowd laugh at me until my first run netted 149.9 hp lol.

fatboyz39- this is the model prelude my engine came from.

hahha
h22a reprazent! :p

get yourself a nice blingin header! xforce are bang for buck, and the 2 inch collector wouldnt be too bad going into ur 2.25 press bent zaust. tho ur jdm header should be decent already. maybe even just modify the collector to suit ur cat back. if you gonna go cams etc, u'd wanna do retainers and valve springs too. and THEN u gotta tune it. and if u got cams etc, no point running it thru a stock header , and small exhaust. so yeah . its a big process. i'd say unless u prepared to spend, then just modify ur collector to 2.25 inch, or get an xforce (or other branded if u want) header.

my friend gained 7kw i think from his xforce (replacing audm header, and thru stock zaust. tho xforce quality is a bit shoddy, for its price, its okay, and the power gains are definately value for money.

Agree'd, i thought exactly the same thing, there was only probably a handfull of people who know the potential of the H22A:p

I was going to mention that i was on ozhonda, but its a bit intimidating when your standing next to an Accord with a beautiful H22A, and ive got a close to stock EK1:p Maybe next time..............

yup, honda designed it that way, so there was more of a kick from VTEC, just a marketing thing to make vtec seem cooler, and more powerful, to the average joe.

ur motor is 200hp stock btw. h22a's rock.

never underestimate the power of h22a ... my engine producing 131.1kw with only Header, intake , exhaust, s200 .. stock internals !!!
very shocking for me how the engine can produce that much power ... its a type s btw ..

seems a bit low for a type S with those mods.

Especially with more agressive cam spec than the standard H22 and also more compression.

whoosh!

my mates accord with a h23a is producing 140.1kw@ the wheels..... is there much difference from the h23a and the h22a.... all i knoe is the h23a is from a jdm 4wd accord wagon......

2_ands power atw seemed about right to me :S prolly just regular aftermarket header

140 for a h23?? either high as reading dyno , turbo, or some serious engine work ... :S :S :S stock h23's are around 90kw atw.
maybe he had mods and it was 140 hp at the wheels

stock h22a type s from factory makes around 220 bhp =162kw at the engine.

LOLLLLLL fair enough u wanna use 98 to "improve ur dyno results", but do u really think the "octane booster" will make any diff?

yeah h23A Dohc from the jdm accord AWD WAgon not a aus spec h23 (prelude)

140.1kw@fw,no tricks,no false dyno reading, just 98 octane

oh dear mj..... I cant belive you just said that. Why? The donor car my engine and ECU came from was tuned from the factory for the japanese domestic market. It was designed to use the readily available 100 octane fuel to deliver an output of 200hp.

Sorry for the confusion mj, my reply was written on the assumption that you would have read my post earlier in this thread where i stated the engine and ECU were JDM.
