hey guys. here are results from my dyno:
http://www.h3ng.com/h3ngdyno.jpg
I made 115.7 ATW with the mods: intake, headers, exhaust + custom cat pretty much.
quite happy with the result, comparatively speaking against curik/typeG's dyno, it yields lower results, considering an SRI turbo pulled 122 on their day, but only pulled 113 on my dyno day. but of course, could be any number of extraneous variables.
on a side note, quite suprised i pulled more than the V6 Legend?!
any comments appreciated.

Very very close in the FWD's. Congrats to Heng for taking out 1st place. Badluck to Zane who missed out by just 1kw to being a draw.

according to the dyno sheet, it is your 3rd gear while we are using 4th gear so I guess you will get 12Xkw in the 4th gear like the SRI. fully HEI in a Euro will get around 12Xkw anyway.
My dyno is with injec and exhuast only at that moment

Sounds like it was a good day, some nice results! Those E55's are animals, pulling around 400/415whp stock in many cases! Any pics from the day?

It should be the other way round, he will get less HP in 4th...
Euro's 4th gear ratio is closest to one ratio so it's ideally the one that will give the most accurate figure as well..

why is that?
so whcih mean he will end up like 110kw in 4 th gear
that's a big different to my dyno and he got more mod than I did last week

The dyno obviously makes a difference as well since the turbo SRI was lower which is a good comparison, same car, both days, different result.
The dyno result has me puzzled. Max power at 7764rpm. The Euro rpm limit is 7150 isn't?

Just wondering, have you change ECU or Vtec controller???
Why max power @ 7764rpm? I thought red line is around 7200-7300 rpm.

I have a 5at so and 3rd gear will give more power - i don't know why you guys did yours in 4th
I have a more free flowing exhaust which should yield a little more power..so its not all just "cat"
no ECU change at all... I think he just over rev'ed.....so i don't know how it could reach that, unless it bounced off the rev limiter and distorted the reading somehow...

lol yeah that rpm is not right. but anyway 115kw for an auto in 3rd gear is nice, anyone can find out the differences between 3rd auto gear and 4th manual gear and do a ratio?

The problem Curik is that the 115kw figure is meaningless. There is no reference point for either the same vehicle before mods on same dyno - or even another CL9 on the same dyno on the same day. You can't compare it to your dyno run on a different dyno.
As for the rpm, I am not sure how the dynos calculate RPM (can someone explain?) - it could be a mathematical formulae or some cross check by the operator (eg by inputing the RPM when the car is at a certain point - then the dyno could calculate engine RPM in comparison to the roller RPM).

I think it is the dyno, my friend in his STI also recorded a higher rpm level than what his car actually does....

It may have been done in 3rd cause his car is auto and only has 5 gears. The manuals have 6 gears and hence prolly have their power in a different area.

3rd gear pulls more.
As for your question - you need to read all the posts buster! :D See post #8

custom y-pipe, 2.5 high flow cat, 2.5 mandrel bends and remus muffler.
just clocked 260 thousand k's.

the dyno is weird
yea they dyno was weird it only showed a rev limit of 5200rpm it should be 6200rpm and max power of 114kw @ 4894rpm my power comes in at around 5500-5800rpm from previous dyno runs.
but it was a good day all up, the AMG E55 was sex, total sex.

The new N/A Engine makes a little more power (around 378) but slightly less torque (around 630nm) as apposed to the 368kw and 700nm of the kompressor engine. New engine is mated to a 7speed gearbox though...
