This may seem like a pretty basic question, but does anyone know where the OBD-II OnBoard Diagnostic port is on a DC2 Integra? I've had a look but can't find it anywhere. I was expecting a black socket but I think the one in a Subaru Liberty I checked out had a grey one.
Anybody have any ideas?

Well, that would explain things. I suppose it's not so easy to hook a Honda up to a laptop and read off stats then?

not unless you modify your ECU and purchase 3rd party software
there are some product out there that do work off the 3 pin DLC

Umm my DC2 has a OBD-II port... On the right side behind the radio under the dash. Remember I'm in the U.S. so a left had drive car, but your connector should be in the same spot on the same side or just on the other side.

This is what the Snap-On scan tool (http://buy1.snapon.com/products/diagnostics/solus.asp?linkback=1&partno=EESC310A&dir=catalog) we have uses to connect...

do you guys get the 16 pin OBDII port ????
we only get the 3 pin DLC and 2 pin SCS, located near the ECU
DC2 went OBDII here in roughly 97 onwards, but still only got the two connectors.

How do you mean? That it uses the OBD-II standard but with a different style of socket?

OBD-II is OBD-II. There shouldn't be different style. It's a "generic" setup so any one can use the tool/scanner to get the codes. And here OBD-II started in 1996. That's why everyone wants my car! I think it's a 16 pin, I never counted or read the manual, just jumped right in!

USA had mandatory OBD II compliancy much earlier than Australia. I think you'll only find the OBD II port on post 2000 or 2001 cars here in aussieland.

aaron: Are Pre-2K Honda models only have DLC interfaces?

Not sure on all Hondas. I'm basing my information on the year in which the EPA made vehicles in Australia have mandatory OBDII compliancy for pollution control. I know that the 1999 AUDM Camry were OBD II from the factory but had an OBD II diagnostic port which was NOT functional!

So can you use a little circuitry and hook a DLC system up to a laptop via serial and some software as easily as you can with OBD-II or does Honda guard their diagnostic secrets and charge you a lot for a genuine tool?

Sorry to bump an old thread. But would any DC4 GSi owners, happen to know if these cars are equipped with an OBD II port? If so, where is it located? Mines a 1998 btw.

Read the thread and the answer to your question will be quite clear
it's the DLC port, not the standardized OBDII port

Oops my bad. Thanks for pointing out the answer.
I wonder how non honda mechanics/garages would read the computer diagnostics. I doubt they have every single diagnostic facility for every brand.
