One of many, if you have any more specific questions that that thread doesn't answer, i'm happy to answer as i'm currently running a B16A1 head on a B18A1 block which is an indentical procedure.
No idea regarding the emanage however, i'm not interested in piggyback bandaids.

even with the emanage you'll still need to run the B18C ECU. emanage is only piggyback so only alters the signals to the ECU, it doesnt actually control engine management.
considering you have to also buy an ECU you could be better off selling the emange and getting a power FC or microtech and getting the necessary harness (OBD1 or OBD2). it could end up being the same price after you get all the harnesses you need for the emanage plus an ECU for a VTEC B series.

just remember if you are doing a head swap you need to have the head and block milled straight.
The reason i cancelled my conversion was the cost and time involved in having the b18a bottom re built and head re milled. i was quoted an average turn arround time for prepping the engine of about 2 weeks. Thats even b4 the engine is installed.

You probably won't need the block to be milled. They are a lot more resistant to warpage than the head.
In terms of turn around, I am running stock short block so the only workshop time was the head work, milling and welding for $60 and a total of 4 hours down-time.
Non-vtec ecu's can be modified to operate vtec, but there's a lot of compontents to add.
