Hey guys, after getting my clutch master cylinder replaced i realised that my 3rd and 4th gears revved weirdly. It would sometimes rev up heaps fast without the car going much faster and then the revs drop again. Anyone got any idea what the problem is?
Cheers

Soundsl ike your clutch is slipping. Could have air in the system
how is your clutch?? new or old. could be its gone mate.
mine acts like that on hot days, so im getting a new clutch.
too much power the plate just cant grab onto so it jumps up in rev, and once its catches up, the rev drops back down and cars starts to move forward.
slipping clutch. make sure the clutch is adjust properly. if the engagement is too far up the pedal, its possible there is still pressure on the plate not fully disengageing it. This can cause pre-mateure slipping of the clutch under high torque loads (3rd/4th gear).
If everything is ajusted correctly, its time for a new clutch/disc.
btw how do you adjust a hydrualic clutch?

u cant adjust hydraulic one i dont think
only cable clutch
so does that also mean hydraulic ones dont need adjusting? as in engagement wont slowly move up the pedal like a cable does?

Common myth. Even some experienced tuners think this.
Get under the dash with ur head and look at the pedal. There are 3 adjustment points which will alter throw, push and pull from the clutch master cylinder.
I recommend taking the front drivers seat out before trying, as it gives u a REALLLY sore back otherwise.
