s2000 dyno!!!!!

hey fella's,

new to this forum and just had a quick question,
im going to dyno my s2k and ive been driving around without the lid on my air box with a K&N pod filter.i know that ill be losing power bottom end but how would it do top end on the dyno without the lid...any suggestions????

I saw an s2k gain 5kw on a dyno run with the cover on compaired to it being off.

could of just been one of thoes things

i lost power with the cover off and made power with it on

thats exactly right, u get too much heat soak with the lid off, and retards ignition, its been coverd heaps of times, try a search, also try searching S2ki.com u should get alot more info on there. (its a much better forum for the s2000 especially when it comes to info)

how would it make a difference on a dyno? your bonnets up and you have a big fan blowing air into the engine...a dyno won't be able to replicate a ram air effect.
