fan resistor, behind your glovebox

,most probably this if 2 speeds gone at the same time, but other 2 working.

Pull the fan switch out & disconnect the connector, turn ignition on & see if u got 12V on all the 4 coloured wires.

If u have,replace the switch

If u havent, check wiring ok between switch & resistor block,if good, replace resistor block.

i have EXACTLY the same problem. I'm just going without 1 and 2. which is really annoying if you only want a little heat or cool and not blaring straight in ur face..

yeah, i no wat u mean..lol

so wata we do?

lik 1 person said 2 check a resistor behind the glovebox..dat tru?
plus how the hell do u do dat? how many screws or wateva etc.
or do we gota replace the fan switch thingo?
ive got no idea on how 2 do that either...

any1 got anytips or guides on doing this....

As chopper would say.."HARDEN THE F*** UP FELLAS"

Get the screwdrivers out & have a go.

Undo the glovebox hinges & the glovebox should just drop out with a little bit of fiddling with the guide rails.

U will then see the resistor block, will look like a electrical connector going into the black blower motor(will be just below the intake grill for the motor) on the left closest to the passenger door.2 screws should see this pop out.

Dont know bout the DA,but my crx centre console pulls out with the removal of 6 screws,1 of which will be exposed when the glove box is open, yours should be similar arrangement.Maybe some of the DA boyz can chip in an fix up any thing i got wrong.

U will then have access to unscrew the heater control panel to test the fan switch.Get a multimeter or test light & report back when u have achieved all this.

Dont try an tell me u havent got a multimeter either, like $10-$20 from most electronic shops, unless u do want to pay an auto elec more than twice that just to look at it.

He didnt say resistor block for fun either.

i had this problem on ym car and it used to come and go

in my case it seemes that the bearings the the motor are sezing up and it needs that extra power to kick it over and start turning
once i would give ti a kick start by hand it would start...
i sprayed wd 40 in it and works fine now

As said 2 screws for the glovebox then 2 screws for the resistor. Doubt you will even need a multimeter, just looking at it you should be able to tell if the wire is broken. DA do also sieze blower motor so a quirt of WD is a good idea even if it is not the problem. Good luck if you want to take the motor out, they are a b*#ch you have to unbolt the whole airduct.
