if its obd1 then hondata will be worth the money but comparing to obd2 honata and power fc is similar in price ( ex-cluding the hand controller)

As perry said , there is no "best" ECU for a EK. Or any car for that matter....

Search our site for "hondata" and "power FC" - as they are the more popular varieties.

The best is the one that will work with your car! I prefer the AEM EMS over the Hondata but that's me. Nothing wrong with Hondata just that the AEM EMS comes with everything, no buying a special package or an ecu to chip. AEM EMS is plug n play all the way. Hard part is finding a qualified AEM EMS tuner, but that's true with any programmable ecu. Price on retail is $1500USD/$1950AUD.

There is no best ECU for any car its more to the point as to what do you want out of your setup.
S/H Socketed OBD1 P28/P30 ECU $250 shop around for this price
OBD2a/b to OBD1 conversion Harness $140-150
S100 Hondata $385
Total $785 + tuning
There are some people around these days also doing Crome and from what I have been told around $150 to setup a OBD1 ECU ready to tune.
