EF Civic Engine Change?

Well my engine went boom yesterday and I need an engine change.

What I want to know is, how much (roughly/average) will it cost me for a stock EF twin carb engine + labor?

And can anyone recommend where I can get one cheaply and put in? (I only need this car for another year or so).

Setanta is selling the remains of his ef9 b16a civic in the for sale thread if interested. Your just going to have to ring around the wreckers and see if they still have that engine your after, or whether you should just buy another civic cheap?

no. He has an ef9 import civic. I think you mean ED civic not EF. Try the usual places, like hontoys/honbits, jap connections and the other parts places.

Pretty sure mine is an EF.. So does anyone know the engine code for the stock AUDM twin carb engine for the 89 EF Civic?
