I'm looking to purchase a new DC2R with logbooks and due for a service soon.

Just wondering if I was to take my car for a service and for the logbook to be filled, is it necessary to have it serviced at Honda?
Also where do you guys recommend servicing of a Honda?

What does a service include?
I need wheel alignment and a new clutch, will that be included in the service?

Clutch is an option in the service.

Wheel alignment is usually done at tyre/wheel shops.

If you want, take it to hannys to be serviced and stamped.

Hannys are a reputable mechanic shop.

How many kms on car?

Normal service usually is oil+oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, MTF/ATF, Coolant, P/S+Brake fluid (Maybe tappet adjusting), Light bulbs, and any either minor adjustments like acellerator cable etc.

Options inc brake pads, clutch, etc etc.

How about logbooks?
If I get it serviced at Hannays, do they fill out the logbook? or only Honda dealers?

Kazaf, Bring your logbook, logbook is basically whoever services your car will stamp it regardless whether or not it is a honda dealer =)

I highly reccomend you learn to maintain the car yourself.

Any car enthusiast should know the basics, and by your sig it seems you are.

Well I know a few of the basics, but I do have a logbook so I may as well use it.
And the logbook may be an asset to the car when I sell the car, and may be beneficial of proof that the car was well maintained.

If you keep all of your receipts, and write down everything you do I think that will work just as well.

The car is out of warranty now so why not learn on it yourself ?

Thats my 5 cents
