Hi all,

I thought there was an old thread about the differences but i can't find it.
If there is can someone plz point me to the right thread and close this thread thanks.

ANyway to my knowledge is this ALL the difference?

- 05 17" Type R rims vs 04 16" rims
- 05 17" spare tire vs 04 spare saver
- 05 sports suspension for 17" rims
- 05 luminiated steering wheel buttons.

thanks guys

Well... i don't think the suspensions on 05 is "sport"...
there's no much difference between 04 and 05 lux... the most apparent ones are between 05 to 06...:P

That's about the differences. The major change were the 17" EuroR rims and the full sized spare (which means a slightly shallower boot).

Suspension's about the same I reckon. Just supposedly "tuned" for 17".

Whether it is or not, according to Honda, the suspension is slightly different -- which is why dealers won't fit 17s to a standard car, because the rim can supposedly hit the suspension or some other part of the car.

Many Euro owners have fitted 17 and 18" rims on their base Euro with no suspension-hitting problems. I'm thinking that they softened up the suspension to counter the harshness that can come from lower-profiled tyres. And the reason they don't fit Lux rims on the base is to make people buy the Lux instead.

What the offset and width of your rims though? 18", 19" or 20", it doesn't matter as long as you keep the rolling diameter of your tyres the same as stock.
