96-00 EM1 front strut brace same as EK4?

The thread title says it all.

I'm looking at a carbing strut brace - the website says will fit EM1 & EJ6/7/8.

As far as I understand EM1 is the coupe version of the EK4 (hatch) but I'd like to make sure before I decide to buy the bar.
