Hi people
I have a 95 model EXi automatic accord. Its developing a problem where its getting harder and harder to get out of park. I push the button in go to pull back and it just wont move, i have to be quite forcefull about it.
Has anyone else ever experienced a problem like this?
Also does the whole dash have to be removed to pull the gauge cluster out?
Thanks in advance for your in put.

Sam

HI

you are putting your foot on the brake pedal arnt you

their is a solenoid in the console that wont allow the shifter to me moved out of P untill you press the brake pedal,

might need adjusting. you could try putting your key in the slot next to the shifter to see if will make it easyer to get it out of P

yo have to remove the black dash facia to get the cluster out, you have to remove the centre console out as well to access two screws under the heater/AC controls

good to hear you sorted out the problem with Park :)lOl good stuff

SRS light is not ment to stay on all the time.

it is ment to go out 8 seconds after the ignition is turned on.

could be a faulty cable reel ( clock sping ). or a number of other things.

you can look uder the drivers dash and find the yellow 2 pin short ( SCS ) connector. short it out, turn on the ignition and count the blinks, then post them here.

Yep, sometimes I'll leave mine in gear, then come back later to start it and it won't - after a split second off being mortified my car might be dead I realise the damn thing is in gear, LOL...

Was the car modded when/before you got it, could the previous owner have pulled the wheel off and put a sports one on, then sold it with the airbag wheel back on and never connected it properly.
